Jack Osbourne Pays Tribute to Late Father with Daughter’s Name
Jack Osbourne, son of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne and television personality Sharon Osbourne, has named his newborn daughter after his late father. The baby, named Ozzy Matilda Osbourne, was welcomed into the world following Jack’s marriage to Aree in 2023.
In a heartfelt social media announcement, Jack shared a touching image of Ozzy nestled beside a plush bat toy—a playful nod to his father’s infamous incident at a 1982 concert where he mistakenly bit the head off a bat, believing it to be a prop.
Ozzy Osbourne, a pioneer of heavy metal music, passed away in July 2025, mere weeks after performing at a farewell concert with his legendary band, Black Sabbath.
Since Ozzy’s passing, tributes have poured in from across the music world. Notably, during this year’s Grammy Awards, a supergroup featuring Post Malone, Andrew Watt, Chad Smith, Duff McKagan, and Slash honored him by performing “War Pigs,” a classic Black Sabbath track. Sharon, Jack, and Kelly Osbourne were present in the audience to commemorate the moment.
At the Brit Awards, Robbie Williams took to the stage to perform “No More Tears,” one of Ozzy’s acclaimed solo hits. The performance featured a backing band that included Metallica’s Robert Trujillo and longtime guitarist Zakk Wylde. Prior to the performance, Sharon and Kelly introduced Williams with heartfelt remembrances of Ozzy, describing him as “authentic, gifted, and totally unpredictable.”
Jack and Kelly Osbourne gained fame through their reality television series, “The Osbournes,” which captured the quirky and often chaotic lifestyle of their family. Kelly has since carved out a successful music career, achieving three UK Top 10 singles, including a No. 1 duet with Ozzy on a reimagined version of “Changes.”
Jack has also found success in reality television, hosting five seasons of “Jack Osbourne: Adrenaline Junkie” and appearing alongside his father in “Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour.” In 2011, he produced a documentary titled “God Bless Ozzy Osbourne,” further showcasing his father’s legacy. Most recently, in November 2025, Jack competed in “I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!” finishing in sixth place.
As the Osbourne family continues to navigate their public lives, they remain a testament to the enduring legacy of Ozzy Osbourne, both as a musical icon and a beloved family man.
