Garage Clothing to Open First UK Store in Kent
Garage Clothing, a fashion brand popular among social media influencers, is set to make its debut in the UK with a new store at Bluewater Shopping Centre in Greenhithe.
Originating from Montreal, the retailer specializes in a range of trendy “off-duty staples,” encompassing athletic wear, leisure attire, and denim. The brand has garnered significant acclaim across North America, with a strong following in cities like New York and Los Angeles. Its introduction to the UK market began last month during London Fashion Week, and it further engaged audiences with a pop-up store in Soho in late February, showcasing its youthful, 2000s-inspired collections.
The Soho event was notably attended by influencers such as Grace Jackson, Shakira Khan, and Megan Forte Clarke, highlighting the brand’s strategic emphasis on Gen Z aesthetics as it establishes its presence in the UK.
Garage Clothing has confirmed that its first UK store will officially open on March 20. In addition to the Bluewater location, the company plans to unveil a flagship store on Oxford Street in London in the near future.
Mary Ann Vitale, Senior Vice President of Garage, expressed excitement about the launch: “Our first UK store at Bluewater is a bold step into the market, bringing our off-duty and active aesthetic to a community that shows up confidently and unapologetically. With our UK flagship opening soon on Oxford Street, Garage is making its mark in one of the world’s most influential style capitals.”
As rental spaces for bricks-and-mortar stores continue to evolve, Garage’s expansion marks a significant milestone for the brand and its expansion strategy in an increasingly competitive retail landscape.
