Nvidia Unveils DLSS 4.5 and Dynamic Frame Generation for RTX 50-Series GPUs
Nvidia has announced that its highly anticipated DLSS 4.5, featuring 6x Multi Frame Generation, will be available starting March 31 for users equipped with RTX 50-series graphics cards. This new enhancement allows for the generation of five additional frames for every single frame rendered natively, achieving a maximum multiplier of 6x. This marks a significant improvement over the previous DLSS 4, which was limited to generating three additional frames.
On the same day, Nvidia will also introduce Dynamic Frame Generation, designed specifically for the RTX 50 series. This feature will automatically adjust the Multi Frame Generation multipliers to maintain optimal frame rates in games, in accordance with the user’s target refresh rate.
Both DLSS 4.5 and Dynamic Frame Generation were previously announced without a specific launch date, with Nvidia only indicating a spring timeframe for their release.
In addition to these advancements, Nvidia is rolling out several enhancements to its GeForce Now streaming service. Users will soon be able to link their GeForce Now accounts with GOG accounts, enabling access to a wider range of titles. For those utilizing GeForce Now with virtual reality (VR) headsets, frame rate support will increase to 90 frames per second, an upgrade from the previous maximum of 60 fps. This enhancement will be effective starting March 19, but is contingent upon having an Ultimate subscription. Furthermore, select Xbox titles, including Brutal Legend and Contrast, will join the Install-to-Play library on GeForce Now.
These developments illustrate Nvidia’s commitment to enhancing gaming experiences and expanding the capabilities of its platforms.
