A Florida woman has been apprehended and charged with attempted murder following a shooting incident at Rihanna’s Beverly Hills residence. Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, 35, faces multiple charges, including one count of attempted murder, ten counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm, and three counts of discharging a weapon at an occupied structure.
On Sunday, the pop icon, along with her partner A$AP Rocky, their three children, and Rihanna’s mother, were present at the estate when an unidentified individual in a white Tesla opened fire. Fortunately, officials confirmed that no injuries occurred during the incident.
Los Angeles Police Chief Jim McDonnell indicated that Ortiz likely traveled from Florida to Los Angeles, although the exact timeline of her journey remains undetermined. According to the Associated Press, Ortiz is registered as a resident of Orlando and has maintained her licensure as a speech pathologist for over ten years.
Investigators have yet to disclose any links between Ortiz and Rihanna or her family, and the motive behind the shooting is still under investigation.
