Gran Turismo 7 to Receive Exciting Update with New Cars and Race Events
Polyphony Digital is set to launch patch 1.68 for Gran Turismo 7 within the next 24 hours, bringing fresh content for players on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. The upcoming update will introduce three new vehicles and four additional race events, enhancing the gameplay experience for enthusiasts of the iconic racing simulator.
The newly added events to the World Circuits menu include:
- European Sunday Cup 400 – Dragon Trail – Gardens Reverse
- Japanese Clubman Cup 550 – Kyoto Driving Park – Yamagiwa Reverse
- American Clubman Cup 700 – Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta
- World Touring Car 800 – Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve
Accompanying these race events are three classic vehicles that will soon join the game’s roster:
’91 Mazda ɛ̃fini RX-7 Type R (FD)
The ’91 Mazda ɛ̃fini RX-7 Type R represents a pivotal moment in the evolution of Mazda’s rotary sports car. Debuting in December 1991, this model, known as the FD3S, marked a significant transformation, shedding the “Savanna” name used by earlier iterations. Designed for optimal performance and lightweight handling, the FD is celebrated for its balance and engineering excellence.
’21 Renault Captur S Edition TCe 140
Renowned for its urban-friendly design, the ’21 Renault Captur S Edition TCe 140 merges compact SUV capabilities with versatility. First introduced in 2013, the Captur quickly ascended to popularity, and the second-generation model, launched in 2019, features an updated platform that enhances driving dynamics and ride comfort. A hallmark of this generation is Renault’s distinctive C-shaped lighting signature, which adds to its visual appeal.
’69 Chevrolet Camaro Race-Mod
The ’69 Chevrolet Camaro Race-Mod pays homage to the classic Trans-Am racing icon, the Z28. Initially released in 1966 as Chevrolet’s response to the Ford Mustang, the Z28 was crafted for serious motorsport, featuring a high-revving 302 cu in (4.9-litre) V8 engine and a focus on performance devoid of automatic transmission or air conditioning. This model gained recognition through success in the SCCA Trans-Am Series, contributing to a new era of small-displacement, high-revving American V8 engines.
With these additions, Gran Turismo 7 continues to demonstrate its commitment to evolving and enriching the player experience, maintaining its esteemed position in the racing game genre.
