AEW Collision Preview: Spoilers from San Jose

In a preview of tonight’s AEW Collision, recorded in San Jose, California, fans can expect a vibrant show leading up to Sunday’s highly anticipated Revolution pay-per-view. The following spoilers were provided by wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer, who was present at the taping.

    • Hangman Page delivered a post-brawl promo shortly after the conclusion of Dynamite.

    • In a match lasting just over 12 minutes, Kevin Knight secured a victory against El Clon with a UFO splash. The bout lacked significant crowd engagement, and Knight experienced a slip while executing a top-rope superplex.

    • The Triangle of Madness—comprising Thekla, Julia Hart, and Skye Blue—defeated Viva Van and two local wrestlers in a swift encounter that concluded in just over a minute. Thekla performed a spear to secure the win. Following the match, Kris Statlander emerged, executing a powerslam on Blue and delivering her finisher to Hart. Thekla retaliated with a title belt assault before Statlander warned, “be afraid of what you need to do to keep me down.”

    • Mark Davis triumphed over Komander in a match that lasted under 12 minutes. Komander showcased impressive agility with a missile dropkick and a moonsault off the top rope to the floor. However, Davis clinched victory after Komander missed a rope-walk moonsault, leading to a piledriver finish.

    • The Demand, featuring Ricochet, Toa Liona, and Bishop Kaun, secured a win over The Bang Bang Gang, which included Juice Robinson, Ace Austin, and Austin Gunn. Kaun pinned Gunn after Ricochet utilized his National championship belt on Austin. Post-match, Ricochet delivered a promo that generated significant heat from the audience.

    • Lena Kross emerged victorious against Mina Shirakawa in a match that energized the crowd with Shirakawa’s powerful offense. Ultimately, Kross sealed the win with a high kick followed by a jackhammer in under 10 minutes, although some felt the match duration was excessive.

    • Andrade El Idolo faced Mascara Dorada in a matchup that included notable interference from Don Callis, who attacked Dorada at the announce table. The high-octane action featured a dramatic tornillo and an impressive 450 splash by Dorada. Andrade ultimately won with a hammerlock DDT off the middle rope, followed by his finisher, The Message, after nearly 19 minutes of action.

    • After the match, Bandido and Rocky Romero entered the ring, leading to a confrontation that included Brody King and Swerve Strickland. Despite the chaos, Bandido managed to hit a high-flying dive. Andrade later exited the scene alongside a woman he was photographed with earlier.

    • AEW President Tony Khan concluded the evening by addressing the crowd with gratitude and referenced wrestling legend Roy Shire in his remarks.

Stay tuned to Wrestling Observer Radio for additional insights and details from Meltzer regarding his experience at Dynamite.
