Carol Kirkwood, the esteemed weather presenter for BBC Breakfast, has officially revealed the date of her last broadcast, marking the conclusion of a remarkable 25-year career at the network.

Earlier this year, she announced her decision to retire in early 2026 to dedicate more time to her husband, Steve Randall, following their marriage in 2023.
During a segment on the 11 March episode of BBC Breakfast, Kirkwood humorously confirmed that her final day on air would be 1 April—a date she emphasized was not an April Fool’s joke. “I can’t believe it’s come around so quickly,” she remarked, reflecting on her imminent departure.
The 63-year-old presenter playfully mentioned that she only had eight early mornings left, joking about discarding her alarm clock following her last shift. “It’s going to be sad, but it’s a happy thing as well. I’m going to miss you guys and everyone,” she added, expressing her bittersweet feelings about leaving.
