Meghan Markle Set to Headline Exclusive Women’s Retreat in Sydney
The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, will be the featured guest at an intimate women’s retreat scheduled for mid-April in Sydney, Australia, while visiting with her husband, Prince Harry.
The retreat, organized by the Her Best Life podcast, will take place at the InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach from April 17 to 19. Organizers have promised a dynamic experience featuring “meaningful speakers” and will culminate in a gala dinner, where guests will have the opportunity to engage in a conversation with Meghan herself.
Her Best Life, founded by Australian media figure Jackie “O” Henderson and entrepreneur Gemma O’Neill, aims to empower women in their personal and professional journeys. O’Neill shared that a mutual friend connected her with the Duchess, who expressed enthusiasm for participating in the event to help women strive for personal growth. “I’ve long admired Meghan for overcoming challenges and for her commitment to inspiring other women,” O’Neill remarked.
The organizers describe the retreat as a unique opportunity to spend a weekend by the ocean, partaking in wellness sessions and discussions designed to foster connection among women. Set to accommodate 300 attendees, the retreat promises a blend of powerful conversations, relaxation, and memorable experiences.
Ticket prices start at AU$2,699 (approximately £1,440), which includes two nights at the five-star hotel, the gala dinner, meals, alcoholic beverages, and access to various speaker sessions and wellness activities. For those seeking a more exclusive experience, a VIP package is available for AU$3,199 (roughly £1,707), featuring premium seating at the gala, a group photo with Meghan, a gift bag, and an ocean-view room.
This event marks part of a larger visit by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to Australia after more than seven years. Their last trip to the country took place in October 2018, coinciding with the Invictus Games, which marked an extensive royal tour of Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand shortly after their wedding.
Notably absent from this trip will be their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. While in Australia, Harry is also set to speak at the InterEdge Summit in Melbourne, an event focused on mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
This announcement comes shortly after Netflix confirmed a shift in its investment strategy regarding Meghan’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, allowing the enterprise to operate independently. Last year, Netflix had signed a multi-year agreement with the couple to produce meaningful content, which included the release of the second season of Meghan’s cooking series, With Love, Meghan.
