Launch of Cyberpunk TCG Kickstarter Campaign Exceeds Expectations
The eagerly anticipated Cyberpunk TCG, a new entrant in the thriving trading card game sector, has officially launched its Kickstarter campaign following its initial announcement last year.
As of the latest updates, the campaign has impressively surpassed its initial funding target of $100,000, raising over $7.4 million to date, indicating strong backing from fans eager to support the project.
The campaign features a diverse array of backing options, ranging from affordable starter decks priced at $49 to the lavish “Night City Legend” tier, available for nearly $8,000. The various tiers come with unique collectibles and stretch goals aimed at engaging supporters throughout the campaign.
At the lower end, the Common Cyberdecks tier offers a solid entry point at $49, which includes two pre-built decks, “The Heist” and “Embracing Power.” These decks are designed to familiarize new players with the essential mechanics and factions of the game.
For those looking for more comprehensive options, tiers such as Quickhacks at $169, Netrunner Starter Kit at $349, and Street Cred Pack at $499 include generous quantities of Beta booster packs. As backers opt for higher tiers, additional rewards and collectibles, like premium Cyberpunk TCG dice, become available.
The campaign also features several high-value bundles, including Padre’s Blessing at $999 and The Afterlife Package at $2,799. These options provide an expansive card pool and exclusive accessories, such as sleeves, playmats, and collector items. Notably, the uppermost tier, Night City Legend at $7,999, is tailored for collectors and retailers, featuring eight starter decks, extensive booster displays, serialized metal cards, and uncut sheets of Iconic Rares.
To maintain excitement, Cyberpunk TCG has outlined various stretch goals, with bonuses activated for all pledges at the Netrunner Starter Kit tier or higher, which includes the anticipated Beta Box and other enhancements as the campaign reaches its funding milestones.
In a recent preview, Scott White of IGN expressed enthusiasm for the game, noting, “Cyberpunk TCG already feels unlike any other card game out there, and I can’t wait to play more.” White brings extensive experience to the discussion, having played a wide range of TCGs over the past three decades.
This ambitious Kickstarter initiative stands as a testament to the enthusiasm shared among backers and the potential of the Cyberpunk universe to cultivate a successful trading card game.
