Jack Osbourne and Aree Gearhart Welcome Second Child
Jack Osbourne, the son of legendary rock musician Ozzy Osbourne and television personality Sharon Osbourne, has announced the birth of his second child with wife Aree Gearhart. The couple welcomed a daughter, Ozzy Matilda Osbourne, on March 5, weighing 7 pounds and 4 ounces. The name honors her late grandfather, who passed away in July 2025.
The joyous news was shared by Jack and Aree through a joint Instagram post, where they introduced their new arrival with the caption, “Introducing Ozzy Matilda Osbourne.”
This marks the couple’s second child together; their first daughter, Maple Artemis Osbourne, was born in July 2022. In addition to his two daughters with Gearhart, Jack is a father to three children from his previous marriage to Lisa Stelly: Pearl Clementine, 13, Andy Rose, 10, and Minnie Theodora, 7.
Earlier this year, Jack publicly disclosed Aree’s pregnancy during an interview with The Sun, expressing his excitement about the upcoming addition to their family. “It’s awesome,” he remarked. “We’re super-excited. It was sort of planned, I should say. It was maybe a little earlier than expected, but it’s definitely something that we were wanting to pursue.”
Jack also revealed that his father was aware of the pregnancy before his passing, which occurred less than three weeks after his final concert. Reflecting on this, Jack stated, “I think it’s been partly a healthy distraction, partly healing—probably in that kind of ‘full cycle’ category, in a weird way. It’s very much taken energy out of the grieving side of things and parked in a bit more hopefulness.”
According to the death certificate filed in London, Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22, 2025, due to a heart attack, with underlying health conditions including coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease.
